FAQ
How do I care for my stained glass?
Solder and lead will naturally become less shiny (oxidise) over time. Dust regularly. To bring back the shine, your item can be polished with carnauba car wax and a soft microfibre cloth for the best result. Although I take every care to ensure there are no sharp edges on items, some areas of solder may be slightly rough, so please take care when handling.
Do suncatchers come with hanging chains?
Yes, I attach a jack chain to the suncatcher which means the chain can be shortened if required or replaced with a hanger of your choice. Small suncatchers come with fishing leader lines.
How should I hang the suncatcher?
If hanging stained glass art in a window, please do not use plastic suction cups as they may fail and your item would fall and break. I would recommend using metal or cup hooks attached to the window frame or hang from the window catch. You can also hang from the ceiling in front of the window.
Is the lead in the solder dangerous?
The solder on Tiffany foiled items does contain a very small amount of lead but is only harmful if ingested – keep out of reach of children and wash hands after handling.
Do you post internationally?
I am more than happy to post overseas but the postage rate will depend on the receiving country. This can be selected on checkout. Please be aware you may have to pay additional taxes on receipt depending on your countries customs policies.
